2 Tonnes

Two Tonnes: A Gamified Climate Strategy Workshop in Cambridge

Understand how to take action for the climate.

2tonnes is an immersive workshop to imagine the future and take action toward an ecological, social, and joyful transition!

In just 3 hours, and as a team, project yourself into the year 2050, explore individual and collective levers for ecological transition, and discover the role you can play.

Since 2020, the 2tonnes workshop has engaged over 250,000 participants, including employees from companies such as BCG, Schneider Electric, Deloitte, Accenture, Danone, Saint-Gobain, Guerlain, Société Générale, L'Oréal, Air Liquide, and many others.

Why attend the workshop?

- Think long-term: project yourself into 2050 and define ambitious actions you want to take

- Step back and broaden your view: play the role of different societal stakeholders to explore multiple perspectives

- Adopt a systemic approach: observe the impact of your decisions on both society and the environment

- Learn by doing: debate, decide, analyze results, make mistakes, learn—and try again!

- Take on a challenge, not a moral lesson: 2tonnes approaches the topic positively, fostering inclusive, peaceful, and judgment-free debate

When: Monday, August 25, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Free to attend, but Café Zing kindly encourages participants to enjoy a beverage to support the venue.

REGISTER HERE

This workshop is approved by CommCorp Massachusetts and may be eligible for partial reimbursement for qualifying employers under the Workforce Training Fund Program, should you choose to deploy the Two Tonnes workshop within your organization in the future.

Location: Cafe Zing25 White St, Cambridge, MA 02140, USA

Anti-Algorithm Readathon

Anti-Algorithm Readathon

"I don't read as much as I'd like to!" -Everyone

Are you tired of the algorithm dictating every moment of your life? Do you miss the days when you'd chance upon a dusty paperback left behind in a vacation rental and lose yourself for hours in a story you never planned to read?

We want you to invite serendipity back into your life and choose a book that might not necessarily be on that Summer bestseller list this year by perusing our shelves and stumbling upon something great, weird, or both. OR you can go to a local bookstore like Porter Square Books or Narrative and ask a bookseller for a recommendation!

Then we'll all sit and read together. No checking emails or texts. Just distraction-free reading with a little time built in at the end for anyone who wants to talk about what they read!
